Warranty & Returns
We stand by our boards.
We don't believe in "planned obsolescence." We make tools that are meant to be used, abused, and passed down. Sixty days to be sure you've got the right board; ten years to stop thinking about it. Here's how that works — and how we look after you if things don't go to plan.
The 60-Day Kitchen Trial
We don't expect you to fall for a chopping board from a photo. So don't. Order one, put it to work, and give it the two months a serious board deserves — daily prep, sharp knives, real heat. Genuine Richlite® is built to take it, which is exactly why we're happy to let you try.
If, after all that, it hasn't earned its place in your kitchen, send it back within 60 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price. No inquest, no "what was wrong with it" form.
- The Condition: Use it — that's the point. We just ask that it comes back genuinely used, not destroyed: the same common-sense exclusions as the warranty apply (no hammer duty, scorching, or DIY mods). One trial return per customer.
- Return Shipping: As a small family business, we can't cover return postage on change-of-mind returns, so that part's on you. We recommend a tracked service — the board is your responsibility until it reaches us.
- The Process: 1. Email hello@everyday.industries to start the return. 2. We'll send you the return address (our Bristol HQ). 3. Once the board's back with us, we'll refund the purchase price to your original payment method within 3–5 working days. (Original delivery charges aren't refundable on the trial.)
None of this affects your statutory rights: for online orders you also have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of delivery, and we'll refund the price plus standard delivery in that window.
The 10-Year Material Warranty
Decided it's a keeper? Good — now you can forget about it for a decade. We're so confident in our genuine Richlite® boards that every board comes with a 10-Year Material Warranty.
- What's Covered: Any structural failure, delamination, or cracking under normal kitchen use.
- What's Not: Our boards are tough, but they aren't indestructible. This doesn't cover cosmetic battle scars (surface scratches are normal — that's character), damage from using it as a literal hammer, scorching well past its 175°C heat limit, or any DIY modifications.
- How to Claim: Send a photo of the issue and a brief description to hello@everyday.industries with your order number. No jumping through hoops — if the material failed, we'll replace it.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your board turns up looking like it was dropped down the stairs to reach you, or we sent Black when you ordered Brown, we'll fix it immediately — and we cover everything. Drop us an email (ideally within 48 hours of delivery, so we can chase the courier) and we'll send out a replacement with a pre-paid label to get the wrong one back. If a fault shows up later than that, you're still covered — your statutory rights and the 10-Year Warranty don't run on a 48-hour clock.
The Final Verdict
Most boards force you to choose between protecting your knives or being able to use the dishwasher. We don't think you should have to compromise.
